One of the more challenging subjects to capture an image of is jewelry, believe it or not.
Light refracts from every angle of the piece and concentration has to be placed on illuminating the stones of the piece if there are any. The stones themselves can refract light in a way that can ruin the entire photo. Light refracting through the stone onto the background or into the camera lens is a problem at times. The scene for the piece is time consuming and consideration to whether the photo will be used as advertisement or in some type of publication or show has to also be taken into consideration. Placement of the jeweled item within the picture frame also has to be considered if the final picture is to be used in advertisements that will have text on top of the image.
There is a lot of work that goes into jewelry photography. It is always best to send your piece or pieces to us and let us photograph them in our studio; we can take a bit more time with the piece and you will save quite a bit of money by doing so. If you require our presence at your location to photograph a piece, there will be other charges involved depending on the distance you are from us.
We load the images up on a disk with three different size formats for you to use as you like. We can place all images on our web site in a secure area for you to approve or make changes before we return the item to you. We have lost a piece of jewelry and all jewelry has been returned in original and sometimes better condition than we got it in. We do remove any fingerprints from the piece before we shoot it.
